Typically our team has the capability of resolving approximately 80% of client issues remotely, but make no mistake, we do make house calls. Whether it’s the severity of the issue, a miscellaneous requirement of your peace of mind we understand that sometimes onsite IT support is necessary.

What type of work can require onsite IT support?

While sometimes the severity of an issue can call for onsite computer repair or service, there are also general repairs better-handled on-premises versus remote. Some common issues that call for onsite IT support include:

Q: What are the benefits of onsite service? 

One benefit of an onsite visit is that you get to put a face with a name!  Another benefit is that our technicians are sometimes able to detect issues onsite that might be missed remotely (for example, if a battery backup is improperly connected or if there’s a nest of wires in the server closet).  

Q: What can you expect? 

Once an onsite is scheduled, you will receive a phone call when the technician is about to leave our office to be dispatched to your location.  Once the technician arrives, they would begin by discussing the issue with the affected user and then begin a logical troubleshooting process. 95% of our onsite visits result in issue resolution before the technician has departed.

Q: What if you can’t fix the issue onsite? 

In rare cases, equipment must be taken back to our office or shipped back to the manufacturer for repairs.  In those cases, we will set up the affected user on a temporary computer so that the business can still function and downtime is reduced.

Q: How soon can I receive onsite IT support?

Concise is able to schedule onsite visits at any time, however, if an urgent issue arises outside of normal business hours, we ask that our clients reach out to us using the emergency option in our telephone system.  This will page our entire staff, and the first available technician will respond as soon as they are able.
