How to disable Google from spying on you ;-)

This simple guide will revoke Google’s permission to listen to your conversations

After a multi-year hiatus, here’s a new blog post!

If you don’t like the idea that Google might be listening to your conversations, follow this short guide:

1.  Log into www.gmail.com
2.  In the top right corner of your screen, click on Google Account
   
   
   
   
3. Click on Data and Privacy:
4. Click on Web & App Activity:
   
5. Uncheck the following boxes:
   
   [  ]  Include Chrome history and activity from sites, apps, and devices that use Google services
   [  ]  Include voice and audio activity
   
   
6. If these boxes were checked, you may receive this pop-up window.  Be sure to click Delete Old Activity if you wish that to be purged.  Then select All Time and check all of the boxes:
   
   
   
   
   
7. Finally, select Choose an Auto-Delete Option if you wish to enable automatic deletion:
   
   
   
   
   When you are all done, here’s what your Activity Controls screen should look like:
