Domain Renewal Scam Alert: iDNS

Every so often we receive calls from clients who want to run a web site related mailing by us to ensure it is not fraudulent. Recently, our client received this “Domain Name Expiration Notice” from an outfit called iDNS (Internet Domain Name Services).
As you can see above, iDNS uses vague wording to trick the client into paying 4x the market rate for domain name renewal services. If you see a return envelope that looks like this, we strongly recommend that you shred it, along with the scam notice!
